The M4 iPad Air is the best iPad Apple has made for the money. The jump from M2 to M4, the addition of 12GB RAM, Wi-Fi 7, full Apple Intelligence support with no compromises, and Apple Pencil Pro compatibility — all at the same $599 price point — represents exceptional value.
If you're on an M1 or M2 iPad Air, upgrade. If you're coming from an older non-M chip iPad, absolutely upgrade. If you need ProMotion and OLED at the professional level, go for the Pro.
